Do you have any health or medical conditions that the leader of the volunteering day would need to be aware of?
(e.g. asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, allergies, injuries or any disabilities)
It is important to disclose any conditions that might affect your ability to take part in path maintenance volunteering days. Whilst we aim to be as inclusive as possible, upland paths often require a long walk in, sometimes on a difficult and exposed terrain and the maintenance tasks can be physically demanding.
Please detail your level of experience in the Scottish hills. Path maintenance days can involve a long walk as well as working, and volunteers are required to have a good level of fitness as well as having a reasonable expectations of what a hill day in Scotland will involve.
Do you have any specific dietary requirements?
We often bring home-made cake to our volunteering events and want to make sure that everyone can have a piece.
During multi-day trip, OATS provides evening communal meal.
Please also give brief details of any previous experience of volunteering with OATS, and any skills you may be able to bring to the project.
OATS is open to everybody whether you have experience or specific skills or not but this will help us understand who is volunteering with us and how we can tailor the day to your interests
