Path Maintenance – 3 Day Event at An Teallach, Dundonnell

Our popular trip to An Teallach is back this October. This is a great chance to see the amazing path work done by Cairngorm Wilderness Contracts over the last two years. The It’s Up to Us campaign is in its final year and we will continue with path improvements on the higher ground this autumn.
Location: Dundonnell, Northwest Highlands
Accommodation: Badrallach Bothy
Sleeping arrangements – shared room (you will need sleeping mat, sleeping bag and pillow)
There are toilets and showers.

On each day of the trip
Sunday – arrival, taking tools up the work site
Monday and Tuesday – path work
Requirements
No experience of path work is required. Tools and work gloves will be provided.
Volunteers must be used to spending time outdoors, have experience walking in the hills, have a good physical fitness and be capable of using tools.
What to bring
Appropriate footwear (preferably waterproof boots with firm ankle support), suitable clothing for a full day in the hills (including waterproofs, cap or hat and spare warm layer to be prepared for changing weather conditions), insect repellent and sunscreen.~
For the Bothy:
Change of clothes and clean indoor shoes to wear inside the bothy.
Sleeping mat, sleeping bag and pillow.
Food/Drink:
Bring enough food and water for each day on the hill, plus for breakfast on Tuesday morning.
Monday evening meal and coffee/tea will be provided.
Detailed list of things to bring will be sent in the week prior to the event.
