SUMMARY:Path Maintenance - 3 Day Event at An Teallach\, Dundonnell
DESCRIPTION:Our popular trip to An Teallach is back this October. This is a great chance to see the amazing path work done by Cairngorm Wilderness Contracts over the last two years. The It’s Up to Us campaign is in its final year and we will continue with path improvements on the higher ground this autumn. \nLocation: Dundonnell\, Northwest Highlands \nAccommodation: Badrallach Bothy\nSleeping arrangements – shared room (you will need sleeping mat\, sleeping bag and pillow)\nThere are toilets and showers.\nPlease follow this link to find out more about the bothy’s facilities: Badrallach Campsite and Bothy \nOn each day of the trip\nSunday – arrival\, taking tools up the work site\nMonday and Tuesday – path work \nRequirements\nNo experience of path work is required. Tools and work gloves will be provided.\nVolunteers must be used to spending time outdoors\, have experience walking in the hills\, have a good physical fitness and be capable of using tools. \nWhat to bring\nAppropriate footwear (preferably waterproof boots with firm ankle support)\, suitable clothing for a full day in the hills (including waterproofs\, cap or hat and spare warm layer to be prepared for changing weather conditions)\, insect repellent and sunscreen.~\nFor the Bothy:\nChange of clothes and clean indoor shoes to wear inside the bothy.\nSleeping mat\, sleeping bag and pillow.\nFood/Drink:\nBring enough food and water for each day on the hill\, plus for breakfast on Tuesday morning.\nMonday evening meal and coffee/tea will be provided. \nDetailed list of things to bring will be sent in the week prior to the event. \nIf you have any queries please contact Eva\, our Outdoor Access Volunteer Coordinator at eva.kupska@outdooraccesstrustforscotland.org.uk
